L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower, a floral treat by Issey Miyake

L’Eau d’Issey is an emblematic name in perfumery. In addition, it is the very first perfume designed by Issey Miyake in 1992. Since then, this fragrance has already shown us many facets of his personality. In 1994, it first became a men’s fragrance. Then, year after year, she never stopped changing. In 2016, it also became a new juice, more floral but aquatic, called L’Eau d’Issey Pure . Once again, Issey Miyake invites us to rediscover this essence. Its 2019 summer edition is called L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower, and is similar to a huge bouquet.

L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower, a bouquet of flowers from Japan

Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower is a moment of soothing. All in femininity, this perfume makes us wander to the other side of the globe, and more particularly in Japan. With L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower, all is sweetness and poetry. The inspiration for this new perfume is none other than the island of Zamami, a piece of land located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, bordered by the waves caressing the white sand, and whose land is covered with flowers. However, it is precisely from these flowers that L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower comes from. This very feminine bouquet plays in the register of femininity, gluttony and serenity. He takes us on a journey and tenderly invites us to taste the joys of summer.

L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower, an alliance of gluttony and femininity

To design this new perfume, Issey Miyakecalled on the talented Aurélien Guichard, one of the most famous perfumers in the Grasse region. Embodying the seventh generation of perfumers in his family, he immersed himself in the world of scents very early on. Inspired by people, exchanges and travel, he is one of the most prolific creators of our time. Here, he imagined a fruity and floral fragrance, immediately associating femininity with the liveliness of blackcurrant and lemon. The top notes of L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower are both fresh and tangy. The rose opens the way to femininity. It then pairs quickly with raspberry blossom, freesia and hibiscus. Finally, the sandalwood envelops everything in a milky sweetness. Finally, L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower ends with an airy breath of white musk.

Mai Hua reinvents the bottle of L’Eau d’Issey Pure

For his bottle, Issey Miyake can count on the talent of Mai Hua, famous blogger and colourist, from the National School of Decorative Arts. Specializing in cosmetics and marketing, Mai Hua has chosen red as the main color here. Present both on the L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower cardboard box, on its glass walls and on its spray cap, red embodies femininity and all the power of flowers. It is associated with a very energizing yellow. Finally, a flower photograph also decorates its packaging.
